ZenVPN provides all the functionality you would expect to get from a VPN application. It lets you connect to VPN servers located in various locations around the world. It encrypts your connection so you can safely transmit data over the web without fear of snooping. It hides your real IP and makes it seem like you’re from another location, thus helping you bypass “content not available in your region” type of scenarios.

ZenVPN is a zero configuration application. Here’s what that means: download the ZenVPN installer, run it, and a setup wizard will guide you through the installation process; once the installation completes, ZenVPN will launch and will automatically connect to a VPN server. You won’t have to go through any configuration, you won’t have to do anything other than install ZenVPN on your PC.

While ZenVPN is running, you will see a padlock icon in the system tray. Said icon is color coded. When ZenVPN is connected to a server and you’re protected, the icon is green. And when ZenVPN is disconnected and you’re not protected, the icon is red.

Speaking about the icon, if you right click it, a context menu will show up and display the following options: Connect, Disconnect, Open ZenVPN, Open logs folder, Exit. Select Open ZenVPN from this context menu and ZenVPN’s interface will show up. It features a dropdown menu that lists VPN servers located around the world, a large Connect/Disconnet button, and a map that highlights the VPN server’s location.

ZenVPN is not free, it is only free to try. The trial version comes with a quota of 250MB per day and it lets you access a limited number of VPN servers.

VPN applications are great at protecting your privacy and letting you access restricted content. ZenVPN will do just that. Simply install it and it will connect to a VPN server, thus allowing you to surf the web in safety and privacy.

Pros

ZenVPN is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Android, and iOS. Once you’re done installing ZenVPN on your Windows PC, it will automatically connect to a VPN server. Multiple VPN servers are available. Once connected, you’ll be surfing on an encrypted connection and your real IP will be hidden away.

Cons

Trial limitations: 250MB per day, only some VPN servers are available.
